“If you want to know how much I love you, count the waves” ~ Anonymous

A post back in April introduced Amanda and Robert to the blog with their engagement session.  We’re so excited to show you their wedding portraits from the beach in Destin, Florida!  Also, be sure to check out the slide show at the end of the post [totally worth it!].

Mother/Son Dance – I’ll have to say I Love You in a Song, by Jon Fogerty

Most memorable moment of the day?
Amanda: Pausing for a minute during the ceremony to actually feel the sand between my toes and then a minute later getting to kiss my husband for the first time.
Robert: That’s so hard to pick because there are so many great moments.  It’s probably a tie between when my mom delivered a chick-fil-a sandwich from Amanda accompanied by my favorite, the Polynesian sauce… I may have cried a little and when I got to kiss my bride and walk off the beach holding her hand  =)

What advice would you give future brides and grooms?
Amanda: Don’t be afraid to think outside the box when it comes to planning-don’t feel like you HAVE to do anything just because it’s a wedding.  Relax, have fun and remember that at the end of the day, no matter what goes right or wrong, you’ll still be married to the luckiest guy in the world.
Robert: The best advice I can give future brides/grooms is to look to Jesus to really learn how to love the other person well.  He will show you how to love them well if you put your hope in Him.

What is the funniest memory of your day?
My Aunt Juli taking a picture of me brushing my teeth for the last time as a single girl
At lunch with the groomsman, Johnny, one of my groomsman, told a story about his honeymoon to Thailand.  They went to a zoo and got to feed baby tigers.  He said there was a long line of people wanting to feed them and when his turn came he started feeding one from a bottle.   Very soon after he started a zookeeper said, in Johnny’s best Thai accent, “No more! Tiga full!  No more!”

If you could do it over again, what would you change, if anything?
Not a thing.
The only thing I would change would be to have something special for Amanda to open before the wedding.  She gave me a really sweet and special card with a message that she wrote inside.  I wish I had the presence of mind to give her something that made her smile and calm her nerves the way she did me.
