Henry Christopher!

October 24, 2013

“I love these little people; and it is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us.” -Charles Dickens

Meet baby Henry!  How adorable is he?!?!

For those of you that don’t know, I have known Justin for as long as I’ve known my husband Ronald [we all met in a small group at our church down in Indianapolis], and Stephanie might look familiar since she helped me with three weddings in 2013 [here, here, and here; these are also great, because in the group images of us, you can see her go from not pregnant, to a bit pregnant, to a bit more pregnant :)].  Another awesome connection: we were married two days apart from each other, in 2010.

But enough about us, here’s HENRY!  When Stephanie called, she said something along the lines of, “I didn’t think it was going to be as important to document this time of our lives.  But now that he’s here, and our world has turned upside down, I really DO want to capture it all!”  By photographing Henry at 16 days old, we were totally able to capture his newborn-ness.  In order to get those lovely sleepy newborn images, where babies are still all scrunched up and snuggly, it’s really important to photograph them in the first couple weeks of their lives.  They change so quickly and before you know it, they aren’t as sleepy and easily posed as they were when they were newborns.

Working with Stephanie on these images was so much fun.  All the props you see came from their house, so the images and feel of the shoot completely fit them.  If you are considering hiring M.Rinaye for a newborn session, know I don’t bring any props with me, which means it’s a fun challenge to find props we might be able to use around each families home.  Because of this, each session is very different, and very fit towards your own families style.

Justin and Steph, baby Henry is SOOO cute!  It’s so neat to see you as parents, and I look forward to watching you grow into the job more and more each day!

ps: If you ask Steph, she’ll totally tell you Justin is AWESOME at getting Henry to calm down.  It was like magic!  So cute to see how much love you two have for Henry already!

pps: The image of Steph and Justin changing Henry’s clothes, I look at that and think, “Go team!”.
