Remember Katie and Bobby [the one with the long blond hair?].  Well, they’re back on the blog!  And looking dapper as ever [seriously].

I will once again boast about how I have the best couples ever.  Bobby and Katie were so kind and created such a beautiful day!  Second shooter Ashley was in town for it [hooray!  Those of you that have read the blog for a while know she’s been on and off a cruise ship for the past two years, so we haven’t been able to photograph together much :/, but she’s back around a for a bit!  You can check out her work HERE].  Anyway, we totally rocked it.

Since Bobby and Katie’s ceremony was a morning one [11am], we met up early. And in the  early morning energy comparison, the girls were reserved and a bit quiet while the guys, they were joking around and pretty much filled with energy :)

Favorite parts of this wedding: awesome family on both sides [Bobby’s family has a poem tradition thing that they do at weddings, and it was awesome], the portrait session during amazing lighting AFTER the reception [it was over at 5:30pm], Bobby’s gangster look, and the amazing thought put into the entire day.

You guys were so lovely to work with, and like I told you before, if you lived in town, we would TOTALLY be friends.  You’re fabulous.

~Maike

*just an fyi, when a bride is coming down the aisle, guests should keep their cell phones down, and just enjoy how pretty she looks… just sayin.CR-W-FAV020_fbCR-W-FAV019_fbCR-W-FAV021_fbCR-W-FAV022_fbCR-W-FAV024_fbCR-W-FAV026_fbCR-W-FAV035_fbCR-W-FAV034_fbCR-W-FAV027_fbCR-W-FAV030_fb CR-W-FAV028_fbCR-W-FAV029_fbCR-W-FAV037_fbCR-W-FAV043_fbCR-W-FAV044_fbCR-W-FAV045_fb CR-W-FAV049_fbCR-W-FAV048_fbCR-W-FAV050_fbCR-W-FAV052_fb CR-W-FAV053_fbCR-W-FAV054_fbCR-W-FAV056_fbCR-W-FAV057_fbCR-W-FAV058_fbCR-W-FAV060_fbCR-W-FAV061_fbCR-W-FAV073_fbCR-W-FAV063_fbCR-W-FAV074_fbCR-W-FAV075_fbCR-W-FAV069_fbCR-W-FAV064_fb CR-W-FAV070_fbCR-W-FAV068_fbCR-W-FAV076_fb

BRIDE & GROOM Q&A:

Most memorable moment?

K: After the ceremony, when Bobby and I were walking down the aisle together as husband and wife.

B: When the doors opened at the ceremony and I saw Katie for the first time.

Advice for future brides?

K: Try to stay calm (both while wedding planning and on the day of the wedding). Not everything is going to be 100% perfect, so just let the little hiccups roll off your back. Also, trust your instincts on how you want your wedding to be. Many other people will try to influence you or will have a negative attitude about your decisions—stay true to who you are, and remember that it’s your wedding day. Savor every moment of the day, try to notice all the beautiful details, and have fun! It all goes by in a blur.

B: Practice tying your bow tie (a lot) before the day of the wedding….

Funniest memory?

K: My dad’s joke during his toast at the reception: “even the cake is in tiers.”

B: Paul’s (a groomsman) wardrobe malfunction right before we left for the ceremony (i.e. one of the buttons on his jacket popped off).

If you could do it all over would you change anything?

K: No! I could not have been happier with how everything turned out. Notre Dame is a very special place to me and my family, and I am so grateful that I was able to get married there. I also really lucked out with all of the vendors we used—they were all fabulous!

B: No—I wouldn’t change a thing.

Did you go on a honeymoon?

Yes—we took a road trip through Michigan, along the Lake Michigan coast. Our favorite stops were Crystal Mountain Resort and Duluth, MN.

Lastly, are there any other vendors that you LOVED and want to give a shout out to?
