Gina and Eric! Indianapolis, Indiana Wedding Photography

June 29, 2015

“I love you, not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me.” – Roy Croft [Love]

GE-W-FAV029_WEBHere’s Gina and Eric’s big day favorites!  And what a beautiful big day it was!  Their engagement session a few months ago is among my favorites [HERE].  And their wedding day did not disappoint.

My favorite things for the day: their big sky photo [which might have included a little bit of a hike :/… you guys are awesome!!!], their awesome and good natured bridal party, the sweet location [Canal 337 is now top of my ‘favorite-places-to-shoot-a-wedding” list], Lydia’s princess Gina fairytale story, and all the small sweet details that went into their day to make it so unique and meaningful for them.

Gina and Eric, you two are the best!  Thanks so much for inviting Anne and I to photograph this special day for you!

~Maike

ps: Special thanks to Anne for second shooting with me!  [See more of her work here].

BRIDE & GROOM Q&A:

Most memorable moment?

G:  Exchanging our vows, which almost brought me to tears.  It really hit me in that moment the commitment I was making, and how happy I was to make it.

E:  Watching Gina walk down the aisle.

Advice for future brides/grooms?

G: If you’re wearing one, don’t forget to put on your veil! (Oops!)

E:  Remember to put on your boutonniere!

Funniest memory?

G:  Correcting the Best Man during his speech about which online dating website we met on because, clearly, there’s a huge difference between Match and E-Harmony.

E:  When Gina tried to put my wedding ring on my right hand.

If you could do it all over would you change anything?

G: Things were perfectly imperfect, and I married the man of my dreams so no, I wouldn’t change anything!

E:  No.

Honeymoon?

Yes! Eric planned it all, and it was a surprise until we got to the airport. We went to Costa Rica and spent 3 nights each in two different locations, one next to a volcano and another on the coast. We wouldn’t change anything about that either!

Lastly, are there any other vendors that you LOVED and want to give a special shout out to?

Besides you, obviously (we wouldn’t climb a hill in formal wear for just anyone), we loved, loved working with John and Jen from Northernlight Filmworks! They did a fantastic job, and we can’t wait to see the final product!

And DJ Krista Lee rocked the house!!  The dance floor was packed the entire night!
