Kelley & Chris! Lafayette, Indiana Fall Wedding Photography

November 10, 2015

“And there’s no one that comes close to you
Could ever take your place
Cause only you can love me this way.” -Keith Urban

So we started out Kelley and Chris’ day taking photos of Kelley’s AWESOME shoes… I instagramed it, in case you didn’t see it/didn’t know I have an instagram, feel free to FOLLOW A FRIEND here!  It might be my most favorite image of shoes ever… which says a lot, because I LOVE shoes.  Like, love love LOVE shoes [that was the first item I purchased for my own wedding 5 years ago… before I even purchased a dress].

Also, did you know that they make anti-friction rub?  I had no idea, but SMARTLY, Kelley used it on her sensitive skin around her shoulders where the lace might rub and make it red/unhappy.  So smart!

This wedding was so good!  Some favorite parts [okay, mostly just awesome quotes]: Chris, while getting ready, “I’m not nervous, just anxious.”  Kelley saying, “Vinny is my baby and that car is his baby” [Vinny is the adorable puppy].  Someone from the bridal party [I’m pretty sure a rockin’ bridesmaid], saying “Fireball is so bad and so good at the same time!”… and finally, Kelley’s dad in his speech, “I’m so glad Kelley is married to Chris.  He’s a great human.”

Here here for great humans!!!

While I was shooting the reception photos Kelley’s sister came up while we were watching her parents dance, and we talked about how adorable and awesome it is to see love years and years and years down the line out on the dance floor.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention Chris get’s the GREAT GROOM AWARD!  During dinner, when they were making their rounds at the tables to say hey, Chris says to us, “You’re allowed to drink on the job, by the way. You know, get creative!”  High fives friend!!!  That’s when I sent Ashley to the bar ;).

But seriously… you two rock… and your family rocks…and your friends rock… we loved working with you!  So excited for you to see these images!

PS: Special thanks to Ashley for shooting with me!  If you don’t already know, she’s just opened an on-line store for prints of her travel photography, and an Etsy store!  Check her Christmas cards out, they are AWESOME!

*above, we’re awesome at being weird. below, AMANDA, from her wedding in 2013!  She’s the one who sent my info along to Kelley [yay yay yay!!! thank you so much!]KC-W-FAV064_WEB

Most memorable moment?

K: Turning the corner to walk down the aisle to Chris.

C:  When Kelley and I were doing our vows.

Advice for future brides/grooms?

K: Try to plan your honeymoon at least a week after your wedding. This would give you time to relax after the wedding, clear your head, and remember things you had overlooked while planning your wedding. That way you can start your honeymoon completely relaxed! (Also – all inclusive is the way to go!).

C: When we were outside Harry’s and the two girls were taking pictures of you taking pictures of us.

Funniest memory?

K:  My sister telling everyone to bet me $1 to eat anything in her maid of honor speech.

C:   Enjoy the day, and don’t worry about something going wrong.  If something doesn’t go as planned you won’t notice/ remember it anyway.

If you could do it all over would you change anything?

K: Not a thing :)

C: I wouldn’t change a thing.

We went to the Dominican Republic (Be Live Collection Resort). It was so beautiful and relaxing! There was plenty to do (for those of us who can’t sit still) and amazing beaches for relaxing! Plus the food was so good! We had a BLAST!

Lastly, are there any other vendors that you LOVED and want to give a special shout out to?

Maike and Ashley!! You guys were seriously AMAZING!!! Also, the Purdue Union crew was great! They took care of EVERYTHING on the day of our wedding – from set up to tear down!
