Emily and Devin! Indianapolis, Indiana Wedding Photography

October 29, 2019

“In all the world, there is no love for you like mine.” —Maya Angelou

Emily and Devin were recently featured on the blog for their engagement session around Broad Ripple, and their wedding was JUST as delightful.  Ceremony and reception were both at The Historic Ambassador House of Fishers, which is just such a sweet lovely place for a wedding with an outdoor setup for their ceremony, and an awesome giant tent on the other side of the house for the reception.  And Emily and Devin’s wedding day weather was ideal [as an October bride myself, you hope for the perfect weather, and if it happens to be a bit windy, you take it as a win, because it’s not raining, or snowing].

Favorites about this wedding: the softest wedding dress I’ve ever touched [and seemed SO comfortable to be in too!], the first look, which after a beautiful sweet moment, Emily spun around and asked Devin, “How does it look?”  and Devin answered, “What?  How does what look?”… the dress of course :) [don’t worry, he made up for it by telling her how spectacularly beautiful she is], the most adorable flower girls, who insisted on spinning THE.ENTIRE.DAY.  [they’re the best], cake cutting to Cake [YAY!  I freaked out a bit when I heard it playing and was like, “I did this too!”… it’s like a little easter egg, where only the people who know Cake, are the people who get it], the speech that ended with all the entrepreneurial puns [a perfect match for this start up couple] and lastly, how many older folks were on the dance floor the ENTIRE night.  They all should win dancing awards!  LOVED their energy.

You guys were great.  Love the two of you obviously, but you also had a rad bridal party, and cool family [shoutout to grandma who offered this piece of advice up:  “Love him to death”].

“Webster’s dictionary defines wedding as ‘the fusing of two metals with a hot torch.’ Well, you know something? I think you guys are two medals, gold medals.” —Michael Scott , The Office

Most memorable moment?

E : Ours were the same! We both loved seeing our friends and family from near and far all in one place, getting to know one another. We also LOVED seeing guests pack the photo booth all night. We also loved the speeches!

D : see above

Advice for future brides/grooms?

E : Soak it all in and don’t sweat the small stuff!

Funniest memory?

E : Saying ‘I Do’ early!

D : When Emily was so eager to get married she said ‘I Do’ early!

If you could do it all over would you change anything?

E : No!

D : No!

We are heading to an off-grid cabin in the mountains for our mini-moon. We plan to hike, read, visit hot springs, and RELAX with our pup before settling back into life in Denver.

Any others vendors you want to give a shout out to?

You! You were our favorite vendor!  [***Awe, shucks, you guys are too much. Thank you!***]  McNamara did an amazing job with the flowers & the venue was amazing.
