Snyder Family! Indianapolis, Indiana Family Session at Newfields

November 5, 2019

“Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth.” Menachem Begin

Met up with the Snyder family at Newfields on a PERFECT fall day.  Honestly, the sun was glowey, the weather was delightfully chilly [well, in the shade it was chilly, but I did end up sweating just in my t-shirt, so… like I said, pretty perfect fall day for photos!]

This sweet family of three was delightful to wander around with.  Luke is just a few months younger than my kiddo, and he’s just as adventurous, and excited to chase squirrels, run in the grass, gaze into the fountains of water and stick his hands in the water when no one is looking to tell him not to #2yearolds.

And weirdly guys, I think this is my first Newfields [formerly known as the IMA] session!  How crazy is that?  I’ve lived in Indianapolis for a total of almost 9 years, and I’ve been there to photograph the pretty flowers, or to wander around and try new techniques out, but I’ve never actually taken a portrait session there.  And it was LOVELY [side note: if you want to do this, there IS a photography fee, and we have to apply beforehand].  We wandered the grounds where they’ve already started to put up Christmas lights for their Winterlights Exhibit, we saw the cool display with about 800 pumpkins on it, we found cool things to look at, walked like camels, and made dinosaur noises [second side note: Luke knows more dinosaur names than me hands down].  You guys are awesome, and I loved doing all the aforementioned things with you!
