Maggie! Indianapolis, Indiana Home Newborn Session

September 29, 2020
“Summer has filled her veins with light and her heart is washed with noon.” – C. Day Lewis

Aren’t sunflowers SO fun?  And bright?  And cheery?  When Maggie’s momma Kristie pulled out a bag full of them to incorporate into Maggie’s session, I was so excited!  I wove them into my basket and could not be more thrilled with how they came out for her precious little newborn session.

And guys, she was SOOOO good!  We took a few food breaks, we adventured into the naked baby photos [and, as per usual these days, I did get pooped on :)].

Kristie had some COVID precaution questions before we did our shoot, and I realize that I haven’t talked about that here, so I thought I’d mention it.

For all newborn sessions, in the studio or at your home, I come with a filtered mask on, and have fresh clothes I just changed into.  I wash hands with soap and water when I initially arrive, and throughout the session.  If I have any of the symptoms of COVID, I’ll be completely upfront with you and we’ll either postpone your session, or I’ll look into getting another photographer to photograph it for me.  So rest assured, I’ll take every precaution available to keep all of us as germ free as possible.

ANYWAY, of course the real reason you’re here is to see these sweet baby photographs!  So without further ado!

Curt and Kristie, it was so lovely to meet you and photograph your family of three!  I hope your first few weeks of parenting have gotten better and better as you learn more about each other!

Cheers!
~Maike
