Campbell Family! Zionsville, Indiana Family Portrait Session
“Like a plant that starts up in showers and sunshine and does not know which has best helped it to grow, it is difficult to say whether the hard things or the pleasant things did me the most good.” – Lucy Larcom
These humans are my lovely LOVELY friends. If you remember last year, we did newborn photos of little Piper [oh my gosh she was so tiny!]
Emily is also the friend who led Mike to hire me for his proposal to Jade, and subsequently we photographed their pandemic wedding on the side of the river downtown.
Back up even further, Emily and I met at church, doing a momma’s group together, we sat at the same table when a speaker mentioned that we need to prioritize dating our husbands… and both of us were like, “UGH, but we have no family here and coordinating with a sitter, and paying a sitter is A LOT!”… and then we were like, “Wait! Why don’t we swap once a month?!”
LONG STORY short-ish… this family rocks. Our boys were born days apart from each other, they love to play together, and we’ve been much needed support for date nights with our husbands non-COVID times [100% recommend].
Emily was diagnosed with breast cancer just last month, so we squeezed in a family session before surgery day, and GUYS…. I mean, look at these outfits! She didn’t even have time to shop, but she just owns these sweet outfits that work PERFECTLY together.
Emily, I hate that you’re facing this scary thing, but I know you to be brave, and courageous and so positive. I know you will be a bright soul through all of this, to everyone you encounter from nurses and doctors to others going through the same treatment plans you will go through.
I know you will be changed by this, but I’m assured this part of your story will define how you live the rest of your life in ways we can’t even imagine.
You are so kind and generous and loving.
I’m forever grateful our paths crossed and we’ve become friends.
Cheers!
