Allie and Lorenzo! Carmel, Indiana Wedding Photography
“You make my heart feel like it’s summer
When the rain is pouring down
You make my whole world feel so right when it’s wrong
That’s how I know you are the one” – Kodaline
And it’s HERE! What I’m sure you’ve all been waiting for… well, at least Allie and Lorenzo and their families and friends. YAY! You saw these two on the blog for the fall engagement session [with the perfect fall weather, and the lovely hat, and puppy, and all that delightfulness], and now they’re back on the blog with their wedding!
And ya’all. This was my first Lucas Estate wedding, and it was everything I thought it would be. Let me photograph your wedding at a mansion ANYTIME. Every room was spectacular. The library was my absolute favorite. The lights draped across the outdoor reception area were the most romantic ever, and just…. just everything.
I don’t even know if I can succinctly list my favorite things… but the cigar bar, ice cream station, and late night fry station would all be on it…. along with Lorenzo’s reaction to Allison as she walked down the aisle, and her momma tearing up after Allison got in her dress. Oh! And the little heart that was sewn onto Allie’s dress bodice, it’s from grandma’s wedding dress. It was all so good.
Allison and Lorenzo! You two were so much fun to work with. I love that you were up for anything, trusted me completely and then totally brought the party for the reception. You’re clearly so loved by all your family and friends. Thanks for inviting Leah and I to be part of your wedding day! Can’t wait to share the full gallery and build your album with you.
Cheers!

BRIDE & GROOM Q&A:
Most memorable moment?
A: My most memorable moment is the first time I saw Lorenzo. I was so nervous to walk down the isle, I thought I was going to faint. When the doors opened and I stepped out of the house all of my nerves went away. It was like I had tunnel vision and the only person I saw was Lorenzo standing at the end of the isle.
L: My most memorable moment is when i saw Allie for the first time.
Advice for future brides/grooms?
A: Take in every single moment. Everyone will tell you the day will go by fast, and it really does.
L: Enjoy every second! Mix in a water during the reception lol
Funniest memory?
A: My funniest memory is when Lorenzo and I were introduced at the reception. We were both super excited for this moment. We practiced how we were going to walk in for our introduction so many time in front of our puppy leading up to the big day. When the time finally came we came dancing in. When we walked in we stopped for a quick kiss and Lorenzo went to dip me. Little did he know his foot was tangled in my dress and he almost dropped me in front of everyone.
L: Almost dropping Allie
If you could do it all over would you change anything?
A: We were really really lucky. Everything was so so perfect that I would not change a thing.
L: Not a thing. Perfection.
Honeymoon?
We have planned about 5 different honeymoon vacations. Our original plan was to take a long drip to Asia but then COVID happened. We thought maybe we could do a 2 week cruise so we started planning that but then COVID got even worse. We then decided that we would drive the entire pacific coast but then wildfires happened. We started to think about Hawaii but they have some pretty strict travel restriction due to COVID. After planning for what feels like forever now we have finally booked a two week honeymoon to Cancun in November. Fingers crossed this does not get canceled.
Any others vendors you want to give a shout out to?
