Winter in Indiana and an Oath to Not Completely Hibernate!

January 19, 2016

“In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.” – Albert CamusDSC_0437_WEB

Hi blog readers!!!  [And new friends who maybe have just stumbled upon my tiny piece of the internet].

I’ve got news!

-I’m currently completely caught up on my professional portrait blogs!  Hooray!

-I’m trying something different this year, and instead of hibernating and disappearing for the next few months [what’s known in Indiana as the photographers ‘off season’], I’ll be attempting to keep posting on the old blog throughout the winter.  So, this is your warning, the next couple months will hopefully be filled with advice, some personal work, my favorite photography products, and probably a few fun sessions with my cute little dogs.

-I’ve been working on a new website design!  Eeek, so excited to share it with you!  Hopefully it will be up and ready to wander through this week sometime.

I’m using the internet as my accountability partner in this whole ‘blogging’ thing.  Hopefully it works!

-This image [because I took the photographers oath to never publish a blog on here without a photo], is from last summer, when I was in New Mexico.  It’s my lovely cousin and her husband!  I love it.  Aren’t they smashing?!

Hope you are all staying warm and enjoying some slowness after the mad rush of the crazy holidays!  Excited to share fun things with you in the next couple months!

Cheers!
~Maike
